Indy Comic Book Week reveals The New Mythology!

"The Orisha emerged from a deep slumber. Seeing that their mission had been perverted, they had set about to free us… whether we wanted them to or not. The Horsemen returned. And their presence has changed the world.

But, what if there were others not Orisha, not Deitis, not Human, but something more, a new Race? What side would they choose in the coming war?

And, who truly controls the Eight Immortals but the number seven?"

Jiba Molei Anderson's groundbreaking property, The Horsemen, rides again in The Horsemen: Book of Olorun.

The Horsemen is the story of seven ordinary people thrust into extraordinary circumstances, as the gods of ancient Africa possess them. The gods have chosen them to protect humanity from themselves… whether humanity wants them to or not. They have been chosen to combat those who control the fate of the planet.

Originally published by Griot Enterprises in 2002, The Horsemen was a critical success and an influential title for comic fans everywhere. Why the long wait for new Horsemen material?

“We fell prey to the typical foibles of an independent publisher,” Anderson states. “It became too expensive to do individual issues. However, the advances in digital and POD publishing along with new avenues for promotion created the perfect opportunity for The Horsemen to return. We are proud to be a part of Indy Comic Book Week and look forward to re-introducing The Horsemen to the world. Independent comics unite!"

The Horsemen: Book of Olorun costs $4.99 and will hit select comic book stores in the Chicago area December 30, 2009. For more information on The Horsemen, visit http://www.griotenterprises.com.

Griot Enterprises is the home of Black Sci-Fi and the future of entertainment... You better recognize. Cheers!
